Well, the title says it all really. My new Hasselblad Polaroid Back came in the mail today. I couldn't wait to play around with it, so I had dear old mom sit for me on the porch.
I'm always so nervous about Polaroid Backs, because I always think I load it wrong, but to my surprise it did what it was supposed to do. After taking a few readings with my hand held I got some pretty overexposed photographs, maybe 1 or two stops. I'm worried there may be something I'm not doing right with my meter, or that it may be a little off. I finally got it right though. I also used the extension tube with the PB later that afternoon.
Stepping into a new chapter. Sounds cheesy, but that's kind of what I'm doing.
I've been taking still photographs for about 4 and a half years now, with some brief love affairs with video. Thus far I've been relatively quiet.
Meaning... I've uploaded my work to a few sites and started a few blogs, but nothing special. I'm not that active on Flickr and I've only been able to keep up one (struggling nontheless) blog, but its sole purpose has been to illuminate my college life for my family.
Now is the time for me to step out. And that is what I will do.
So here is one of many stepping stones. I'll post photographs here and include details about the process and shoot.
See you soon...
